Pain Relief

The way we experience pain is determined mainly by our psychological and emotional state. For example, we’ve all at some time been distracted for a while, becoming less aware of a very real pain, only to find that the pain returns just as soon as we re-focus our attention on it.

Increasingly, we are becoming less content with swallowing any of the vast arrays of painkillers, especially on a long-term basis.

For most of us, there is another way. There are many effective hypnotic techniques for overcoming pain. Such methods leave you feeling more in control and able to moderate the discomfort you experience to the extent that is right for you at any given time.

Caution. Pain is usually the body’s way of telling us that something is wrong, perhaps an injury or infection is present. There may be significant cause for the pain that requires medical attention. If you are at all unsure of the origins of your pain, always consult your doctor before engaging in hypnotherapy to remove that pain.
